Java Client

Installing

Transfer the HootClient.Jar file to your Mobile.
Click it to Install(changes from phone to phone).
You can send it by Bluetooth, Cable or Connecting to the link in the download page with your mobile browser
(The Client can also be found in the hoot installed folder under hootbinjclient)

Configuring

There are only a few small steps

  • Insert the server name as you registered it in the server configuration
  • If your server is password protected enter the password
  • On first operation you have to enter your client ID.
    For most mobile phones id advise inserting Generic.
    the client ID is what we use to send the keymap to your phone.
  • Final step: Choose the game and enjoy!

Menu options

Send String - Sends a string to the game, for writing and operating Keys that are not mapped and rarely used.

Compression Quality - choose the image Quality.
There is a trade off between Quality and Frame rate.

Set Device ID - changes the device ID, will cause connection to close!

Show Keymap Name - Toggles the key map name.

Change Keymap - manually change of a keymap, for extra keymaps that are not connected.

ZeeMote Device - for phones with Bluetooth support.
ZeeMote is a small joystick like device we support in the client.

Exit - closes the client.
